Thai Travel Inspection: Before traveling to Thailand, it is important to engage a Thai Travel Inspection firm to ensure that all of your needs are met. This includes an assessment of the current medical condition of each traveler to assess their current physical state and identify any pre-existing conditions. You may be required to submit to a health interview as well. Thai Travel inspections are done by government certified teams who are trained to comply with the highest standards of hygiene and sanitary practices. Your travel clinic will assist you in obtaining your passport, as well as assisting you in obtaining a certificate of participation, which is a basic assurance of Thailand health coverage.

Effective immunizations recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) are: Thailand National Travel Card, Thai Travel Insurance, and a specially designed International Health Insurance Card. These three recommended immunizations should be on your person when traveling to Thailand. A majority of Thai nationals are up-to-date on their vaccines and will be able to board a flight at any time. However, a small percentage of the population do not have regular access to the vaccines or could be at risk of exposure to diseases that they might be immunized against. If this is the case, you could be in serious danger while traveling abroad if you do not have the recommended vaccinations.

While staying at a hotel or any tourist destination within Thailand, you are required to obtain a CEC or Certificate of Entry (COE). This is a six-digit ID card with a photo which can be used to gain entry into restricted areas and to pay certain charges such as taxes, ATM, casinos, or tour fees. There are two types of CECs available in Thailand: one is for visitors only and the other is for foreigners ( foreigner exchange users, expatriates, non-Thai passengers, and other foreign nationals traveling to Thailand). If you have a visa and plan to stay outside Thailand you can also apply for a COE but it is not necessary. Foreigners will still need a valid passport and a copy of the prescribed Immovable Information Form.

Upon arrival at Phuket International Airport, all travelers are required by law to appear in their national ID card holder (usually their passport) and submit a translation of their passport, including any photos if applicable. The immigration procedures at Phuket International Airport can be very confusing. You may need to undergo several security checks upon arrival, and it is advisable to bring extra copies of your passport and relevant information for the immigration officer. Immigration officers do not give too much time to discuss things, especially to foreigners. Make sure you understand what to expect, and arrive prepared. Remember that if you are unable to convey your message clearly, the interview might be turned down.

In addition to the normal immigration procedures at Phuket, November is also a good time to visit Thailand if you are traveling with children. There are special child care facilities in Phuket that will ensure that your children receive the best care while you are away. November is also the beginning of Thailand's major rainy season. For this reason, it is advised that November travelers take lots of water, in case they get dehydrated. No matter how well you prepare for your trip, it is never a guarantee that your November holiday will run without any problems.

During the monsoon months from June to September, Thailand experiences the greatest number of tourists from around the world. During these months, Thailand experiences one of the highest number of tourist arrivals. Although travel to Thailand during this period is not impossible, the tourism industry largely suffers due to the large number of tourists, resulting in high costs for hotels, food, and transportation. If you wish to minimize your impact on the Thai economy, it is highly recommended that you stay at a Phuket or Bangkok hotel that is within the vicinity of the international airport, which will offer you the most economical stay.
